Warranty Policy
Last Updated: October 28, 2026
Thank you for choosing KuKirin Europe.
We aim to provide reliable electric scooters and professional after-sales support. This Warranty Policy explains the scope of our voluntary warranty, applicable exclusions, and the procedure for reporting product defects.
1. Voluntary Warranty Period
New KuKirin electric scooters purchased through https://gokukirin.com/ are covered by a 12-month limited voluntary warranty, starting from the date the customer receives the product, subject to the terms of this policy.
The battery is covered by a separate 6-month limited voluntary warranty.
The voluntary warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that arise during normal use in accordance with the product's instructions.
The warranty period and coverage may vary by component, as described below.
2. What Does the Voluntary Warranty Cover?
If a reported defect is confirmed to be covered by the voluntary warranty, we will provide an appropriate solution in accordance with the terms of this policy.
Depending on the nature of the issue and the availability of parts, possible solutions may include:
-
Supplying replacement parts;
-
Providing instructions for replacing a component;
-
Arranging a product repair;
-
Replacing a defective component; or
-
Offering another appropriate solution agreed upon with the customer.
The solution provided will depend on the nature of the defect, parts availability, and technical feasibility.
3. Voluntary Warranty and Statutory Consumer Rights
This voluntary warranty is separate from and does not replace the statutory rights available to consumers under applicable law.
Consumers may have legal remedies if a product is faulty, damaged, or does not conform to the sales contract.
Where applicable, these remedies may include repair, replacement, a price reduction, or termination of the sales contract in accordance with the relevant legal requirements.
The duration and scope of statutory consumer rights depend on the applicable law. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes mandatory consumer rights.
Using the voluntary warranty does not mean that a consumer gives up any statutory rights.
4. What Is Not Covered by the Voluntary Warranty?
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the voluntary warranty does not cover defects or damage caused solely by:
-
Normal wear and tear;
-
Improper use or use contrary to the product instructions;
-
Drops, collisions, accidents, or other physical impacts;
-
Unauthorized modifications;
-
Repairs or interventions by unauthorized persons where they caused or contributed to the defect;
-
Water exposure, fire, flooding, or other external events that caused the damage;
-
Improper transportation or storage after delivery to the customer;
-
Use outside the product's intended purpose; or
-
Commercial use where such use is not permitted under the applicable warranty conditions.
These exclusions apply only to the voluntary warranty. They do not restrict statutory consumer rights where the seller remains legally responsible.
5. Wear-and-Tear Components
Normal wear and tear is not covered by the voluntary warranty. Examples of wear-and-tear components include:
-
Tires;
-
Inner tubes;
-
Brake pads;
-
Brake discs;
-
Brake cables;
-
Handlebar grips;
-
Fenders damaged by physical impact;
-
Rubber components; and
-
Stickers and decorative elements.
If a component has a material or manufacturing defect that is not attributable to normal wear and tear, the claim may be assessed individually.
These provisions do not limit statutory consumer rights.
6. How to Report a Defect
To report a potential warranty issue, please contact our customer service team using the details at the end of this policy.
Please provide the following information where available:
-
Your order number;
-
A description of the issue and the circumstances in which it occurred;
-
The scooter's serial number, if available; and
-
Photos or videos showing the issue.
Providing your order number or other proof of purchase can help us identify the transaction and process your request more efficiently.
Our team will contact you with the next steps.
7. Warranty Claim Process
After receiving your claim, we will:
-
Review the information provided;
-
Assess the description of the issue and any supporting materials;
-
Request additional photos, videos, or information if necessary; and
-
Inform you of the proposed solution.
Depending on the nature of the issue, we may:
-
Send replacement parts;
-
Provide repair or replacement instructions;
-
Arrange a warranty repair; or
-
Request that the product be returned for inspection.
Please do not send a product back without first contacting our customer service team. We will provide the appropriate return and shipping instructions.
This procedure does not restrict your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
8. Shipping and Repair Costs
If a defect is confirmed to be covered by the voluntary warranty, shipping costs associated with providing the warranty remedy will be handled in accordance with the applicable warranty terms and mandatory legal requirements.
Because electric scooters can be large and heavy, the return method and shipping arrangements may need to be agreed upon individually.
If an inspection determines that a reported issue is not covered by the voluntary warranty, we will inform you of any potential charges before proceeding with a paid repair.
For claims under statutory consumer protection law, the seller will bear the necessary repair, replacement, and transportation costs where required by applicable law.
9. Claim Handling Time
We aim to handle warranty claims as promptly and efficiently as possible.
The time required to resolve a voluntary warranty claim depends on the nature of the issue, parts availability, shipping arrangements, and the repair method.
Where applicable law sets a mandatory deadline for responding to a consumer complaint, we will comply with that requirement.
10. Warranty Scope
The voluntary warranty described in this policy applies to new KuKirin products purchased through https://gokukirin.com/, subject to the applicable warranty terms.
The voluntary warranty may not apply to products purchased from unauthorized sellers unless otherwise specified in the relevant warranty terms.
This does not limit any statutory rights a consumer may have against the actual seller under applicable law.
11. Voluntary Warranty Period by Component
The standard voluntary warranty period for new KuKirin electric scooters is 12 months. The battery has a separate 6-month voluntary warranty period.
| Component | Voluntary Warranty Period |
|---|---|
| Frame | 12 months |
| Motor | 12 months |
| Controller | 12 months |
| Display | 12 months |
| Charger | 12 months |
| Battery | 6 months |
| Tires | Normal wear and tear excluded |
| Inner tubes | Normal wear and tear excluded |
| Brake pads | Normal wear and tear excluded |
| Brake discs | Normal wear and tear excluded |
These periods apply to the voluntary warranty only and do not reduce any statutory consumer rights.
